VINIRRIG: the keys to more sustainable water management
The project will seek to develop the skills needed to adapt practices to climate change and limit the water footprint of winegrowing operations. The training will be structured in two levels:
- the first, a 20-hour e-learning course available in 4 languages with 6 main chapters;
- the second, a field course delivered on a network of pilot farms, demonstrating best irrigation practices and complementing the e-learning.
Why You need Vinirrig
Precision irrigation in viticulture is not so common in Mediterranean Europe, but it will be important in the next years due to climate change, lack of water and rising costs.
Thanks to our project you will have the chance to tap into the knowledge of the best experts in Europe with our elearning course and with our on-field experimentation.
